Porcelain Veneers

Conservative porcelain enhancement to your smile!

Porcelain dental veneers, sometimes called laminates, are custom-made porcelain coverings designed to change the appearance of teeth. Veneers can be used to close spacing between teeth or correct chipped, stained, or discolored teeth. Porcelain veneers are more fracture-resistant and stain-resistant than resin veneers or composite veneers. A porcelain veneer must be maintained, like any other tooth, with home care and routine in-office cleanings.

Veneers often involve some preparation of the teeth prior to completion. Certain brands of veneers, such as Lumineers, promote a no-preparation system, which can sometimes affect the cosmetics and longevity of the restorations. A veneer is bonded to a tooth in a fashion similar to dental crowns.
